LAN announces its newly designed Premium Business for Miami - Buenos Aires route

The redesign of LAN's long haul Boeing 767-300 fleet which began during the second half of 2006 has made excellent progress with the Miami-Buenos Aires route 100% equipped with the new cabins as of February 2008.

New Economy cabin: more comfort!

LAN’s colorful and spacious main cabin is exceeding expectations and offers passengers a sense of class and hospitality with amenities most airlines reserve for their premium class passengers and features. LAN is currently retrofitting its entire fleet of Boeing 767s with a new economy class that features new seating and expanded entertainment options, including:

• Individual video monitors in each seatback featuring a larger size of 8.9 inches and optimal resolution with touch-screen programming providing an easy and comfortable way to select options, offering audio and video on demand.
• Updated entertainment content, including a selection of 32 movies -8 blockbusters and 24 favorite feature films-, 55 shorts programs, 450 music CDs and 14 video games .
  Increased recline and cushion that slides forward one inch for greater comfort.
• Increased space for carry-on items, as well as cup holders.
• Adjustable headrests offering greater comfort.
• New fabrics, carpeting and redesigned pillows and blankets.
• Oversized overhead compartments.
• Award-winning menus inspired by the tastes and flavors of Latin America, as well as complimentary wines and alcoholic beverages.

LAN's new Premium Business Class offers amenities such as:

Seats

Sleeper seat with 180-degree full-flat recline.

Distance between seats increased to 74 inches.

Dividing panels between seats for maximum privacy.

Four pre-programmed seating positions.

Arm rests that lower when changing seat position to horizontal bed, giving a five-inch greater width.

Down comforters and soft pillows.

New spaces for personal carry-on items.

A backshell that surrounds the passenger, giving maximum privacy and quietness at resting time.

Entertainment on Board

Larger individual video monitors - 15.4 inches - with high resolution, offering audio and video on demand.
